Fraud Industry Action Team Special Interest Group (F-IAT)

The TRMA Fraud Industry Action Team (F-IAT) is a working committee of telecommunications professionals dedicated to the identification and elimination of fraud in the telecommunications industry; this will be accomplished through knowledge sharing, leveraging of information, identification, and root cause analysis augmented with the documentation of best practices, processes, methods, procedures, and systems. The team will abide by TRMA's operating principles with respect to the antitrust laws.

The Fraud SIG was created in November 2002 and meets on a monthly basis. The team currently has 38 members which consist of LECs, IXCs, Inmate Telecom Providers, Wireless Providers, and Consultants.

TRMA Fraud SIG 2006 Objectives:

  • Continue Fraud Alert Distribution
  • Look into sharing topics and speakers on the Fraud calls
  • Reduce the Fraud calls to 1 call per quarter
 
 

TRMA committees are open
to all TRMA voting members and business affiliates who have an interest in one of the committee areas.
